You want to lose a pound or more? Just eat 500 less calories a day or exercise to burn 500 calories a day, or a combination of the two.

We can all do something. Most of us can walk. I apologize for anyone watching who is disabled or who has physical limitations.

You have to want to do it. There is no magic pill. You CAN do this if you want to.

I'd love PMs and comments. I'm curious to know who wants to lose weight and who needs help. Have a great weekend! Cindy :)

  • One of my friends little boys, two years old, likes fruit.Yesterday when I had him,he ate 2 apples. So, I was really happy about that.

  • @prettycountrygal WOW, kids don't eat enough fruit. I'm really happy to hear that! Good job. You must have motivated him! Great job :)

  • Hi Cindy, This is a great video!!! It is so informative. Everyone wants a super diet with magical results, but I love the way you explain it as simple math. No one wants to face the fact that if one isn't losing weight, they are eating more calories than they are burning. Thank you!!

  • @VirtualPaul123 Thanks for stopping by Paul. Yep, everyone always asks me and this is what I tell them. It's all about the calories you eat versus the calories that you burn. People think it's more difficult than that because we have so many books, videos, and weight loss supplements on the market. I struggle though most days trying to equate whether or not eating extra calories are worth it! Guess I'll go and have some grapes now :)

  • Great Info as usual!

  • @lenty2000 Thank you. Hey, how did you lose the 40 pounds and how long did it take you to lose it? I'm always curious to know what works for people. I would gain so much weight if I would be unable to exercise because I enjoy eating so much. People don't realize that just eating regular portions of healthy food even has a tendency to make you gain weight when you're inactive. The weight gain happens WAY too fast. Especially as we all get older.

  • @chicagocindybuddie Well i never lost it all, i dropped about 20 of it by eating better and cutting out soda, after my surgery i eventually was able to get back in the gym. i kept 20 lbs of muscle while losing the fat. Also you are so right about eating correct portions. It can surely sneak up on you. for me i was very active at work, i went from full speed to zero, when i was sitting around there was nothing to do but eat.

  • @lenty2000 *HEAR

  • @minbound I heat that, i had back surgury a few years ago and i was out of work about 4 months and gained a quick 40 lbs. Went on real easy, and took a while to lose it.

  • @ristin59 You, Gary, have been through a lot. Working 3rd shift is bad and that doesn't help much. Back issues and torn tendons are very difficult to recover from. Congestive heart problems and breathing issues make it extremely difficult to do anything. I'm surprised you haven't given up the PT yet. Most people would have. Don't give up. Just really try to watch everything you eat, how it's prepared, and pay attention to portion sizes. Don't give up on the PT though :)
