Otis Clay's second release on One-derful Records, 1966. Like many of the records made at One-derful, Otis and A&R man Jimmy Jones came up with this tune at one of the many 'woodshedding' sessions. Otis should probably be credited as co-writer on this one. Patti Drew covered this for her 'Tell Him' album in 1967. This is the softer side of Otis Clay, who's best known for his hard soul and gospel style. My favorite of the early sides Otis cut, along with some of my pics from his March Pgh show.

  • I luv this song!

  • @ProLit yeah, "All I need" on the Tical-album I think

  • Another 'SERIOUS' winner. W.L.O.U. in Lousville used to play the hell out of this record. More than a few years ago I saw Otis at a local venue and requested he sing that song. He refused. Might be personal?

    As usual, another great post.

  • this is great!

  • You got this blue-eyed soul brother singing this song I have not heard in many years. The flip was great too, I paid the price. Thanks
