When Michael Calls is a Thriller-drama television movie directed by Philip Leacock and starred Elizabeth Ashley, Ben Gazzara and Michael Douglas. It aired on ABC Tuesday Movie of the Week on February 2, 1972. Helen Connelly is a woman whose nephew Michael died fifteen years earlier. She is separated from her husband, Doremus. She is close to Michael's brother, Craig. When mysterious happenings began taking place and she begins receiving phone calls from the supposedly dead Michael, Helen begins to wonder if Michael is really dead or if she is losing touch with reality. Also seen: a promo for 'The Screaming Woman' (starring Ed Nelson and Olivia De Havilland), about an old lady that discovers a girl buried alive under her lawn.
