One of my favorite TV shows from my late teens/early-mid 20's. This and Quantum Leap. Seems that most things Donald Bellasario was involved with were excellent shows.

@vlunney magnum gets paid by room and board. THAT is why higginc cannot "deduct it from a paycheck that doesnt exist...his money earned from his PI job not withstanding.

@jrsolis68 On top of the money he makes from his investigations his main job is protecting Robin's Nest, he was HIRED meaning he gets a check, even if he got paid annually Higgins,( if you want to go with at this point him not being Robin) would have control over paying any staff the estate usses i.e. Magnum and the people Higgins hires for events. Since Robin owns the Kamahama Club he even pays RICK as it's manager, without his Robin check Magnum would starve to death as a PI.

It was really a excellent series. Good ideas, good stories, good scripts, good actors, big locations. Great sense of humor. Nice! Feelgood entertainment.
