Wow, after watching this video, I know all there is to know about boosting my metabalosim
-
@Indygoguy Yeah thanks Dr. Phil. This from a man who thinks a faster metabolism makes you age faster. You should be embarrassed.
-
@superherobyday you believe in BS and you project your fault on others
-
@Indygoguy I'm going to move on. I can see my 'world is round' talk is upsetting you. Don't take it so personal bud.
-
@superherobyday no sir, upping fiber or water do not affect metabolism in any significant way. The only known dietary change that increases metabolism is to increase protein intake. Even so, it is not significant enough to have much of an effect if at all. Fiber and water? wow, you are a moron!
-
@Indygoguy First: Why are you angry? Relax. It's just Youtube. Second; You can increase your metabolism without increasing your heart rate. Metabolism is just the rate and manner in which your body processes food. Yes, when your heart rate increases, so does the "speed" or efficiency of your metabolism. But increased heat rate is not the ONLY contributor to your metabolic rate. Even something as simple as upping your fiber or water intake can have a positive effect on your metabolic rate.
-
@dreaminginnoother caffeine and ephedrine were the ONLY substances that had any real effect on RESTING metabolism. Even so, that effect was slight.
-
@superherobyday eating habits do not boost your heart rate, neither does rest. The only way you can consciously increase your heart rate is through increasing your activity. So the man is right, to have a 50% increase in metabolism throughout the day would mean one would have to exercise all throughout the day. It is amazing that you fail to understand something so simple and are rather arrogant about your stupidity.

wouldn't a fast metabolism just age a person faster?
-
this guy is a fuckin moron
Mhhh...After a marathon the exhaustion comes from the exercise, muscle work-brake down, inceased heart rate... not entierly from the higher metab! A good example is that after stopping the work out your metabolism will be quicker for some houres...but u whon´t be sweating or be exhausted.
A small metabolism increes in limited daily time periods is healthy i think, but of course not through the junk they sell these days:) drink espresso for a metab boost or eat ginger!

muscle-work protein breakdown is a large component of your metabolic rate.
And typically the degree of tiredness after a workout is directly related to the effort of the workout and the metabolic rate during that period.

Hi 7Deadlysins,
It is a common misconception that a high metabolism means having lots of energy. It's actually a play on the semantics of the term energy.
Being 'energetic' or 'full of life' has nothing to do with a person's metabolic rate.
I hope this helps,
B
