1214推土機下的燭光 - 保留天星碼頭晚會 Star Ferry Candlelight Vigil

時間：14/12/2006 晚上7時正
地點：屬於香港人的天星碼頭 12月15日零晨，天星碼頭49歲了!

我們歡迎全香港市民參與這個為天星碼頭舉行的生日會，一起倒數和代替鐘樓報時，
一起向政府表達我們的訴求，原地保留天星碼頭及皇后碼頭。

我們要捍衛的不單止是集體回憶、懷舊，我們捍衛的是市民參與城市規劃發展。

近年政府大興土木，卻又不斷漠視市民所擁有的生活文化。為何城市發展容不下我們的參與，為何我們要一而再、再而三地容忍政府空降給我們的惡趣味？壞設計？

我們不需要更多的商場，
我們不需要更多的填海，
我們不需要更多的露天茶座，
我們不需要更多的金銀銅鋼紫荊，
我們不需要更多的海濱長廊......

我們需要的是屬於我們的歷史和文化，
我們需要的是屬於我們的根。

我們連月來以不同方式向政府表達訴求，更提出不同方案希望政府接納，政府不但充耳不聞，更以生米煮成熟飯的理由來表態，我們唯有走到天星，表達我們的不滿。昨日下午警察以­武力方式強行清場，被捕的示威者竟然扣留大約八小時才獲准保釋離開。

面對如此專橫、漠視民意，效率時快時慢的政府，我們憤怒了。

請一同參加今晚的燭光晚會，使用屬於我們的公共空間，表達我們的訴求，表達我們對香港的熱愛。支持原地保留天星碼頭及皇后碼頭。

如果你問社會是什麼？
我們就是社會。

We are going to have a candlelight vigil in tonight 7pm in OUR Star Ferry Clock Tower to celebrate the 49th Anniversary of OUR Star.
We welcome all of you to join. To SAVE OUR STAR and to SAVE OUR CITY.

We are not just nostalgic creatures that refuse all kinds of
development in Hong Kong. Good development is necessary, BUT

It doesn't mean to erasure our history.
It doesn't mean that we need to have a shopping mall everywhere and consume all the time.
It doesn't mean that we have to fill up our sea.
It doesn't mean that we have to accept BAD design everywhere in our city like the Disney kind of new pier.

Conservation and development shouldn\'t be placed in two different extreme. We request for the citizen participant towards the city planning.

Please come and join us, use our own Public Space, express our view and express our love towards the city.

If you ask what is society, we say, we are the society, and you too.
