I mean to be honest who on earth would be an honestly good president?? No one.because you would have to deal with wars ( which i hate and wish never happened) death, communist, crazy people...and so on...so i geuss i vote for whoever has the best attitude.because i mean all of our other presidents suck.and will lie to us and take money from us and land resorces and kill people.so why should i even be pick anymore? We wont end up with a fair president as long as the earth is alive and running.

If we all DIDN'T vote,it would make a stronger statement.There is no presidency anymore just one manchurian candidate.I'm not mad at you and don't discount what you're saying but it's 2008 and we americans view EVERYTHING with a jaundiced eye.We love to talk shit and then sit home on election day.

there is very much a knee-jerk reaction between the media and politicians...a lot of times little things get blown out of proportion, while the big things get overlooked...I guess it the sensationalist society we live in...but how do we end that cycle?
it would be nice to have a poet, an engineer, a school teacher, a social worker, or somebody with some fresh perspectives in office...career politicians have elections on the brain...and lobbyists...

Well, Obama, the community organizer has a bit of a fresh perspective, though not enough of one when it comes to medicine, imperialism, etc. where he is quite conformist.
Society just evolves by itself. If you look at the old newspapers, we got dumber over the last century. We can only hope by being honest and loving in the ways that come to us, things will shift in a better direction.
