Some cell phone tips. I want to point out that using a cell phone overall works fine but there are times when you can get a bad reception in some areas. This is where I'll either move to a better spot if I'am in a building(near a window) or just take a pic of the isbn and look up the book later in a better spot.
You don't need a scanner to look up books. I use my $19 cell phone to look up isbn numbers on amazon to get rank and starting used price info on a book. I just have my phone set on amazon and type in the isbn. If I plan on looking up many books I just take a pic of the isbn numbers with my phone's camera then look up the books in my car(using a note pad).
right .... I think that bar code came out after this video ..... On A side note I took A gamble at the Library today I bought 26 books for 13 bucks .. about 10 of them are worth a few bucks , but two of them was worth a total of 30 to 40 bucks , I paid 75 cents haaa ... I have no experience in books. all I did is go out on A whim..... I will have about 10 books just laying around though .... So a scanner is the Philosophers stone to this Niche
If a person has an iPhone there are much cheaper options (apps) that provide information similar to that $60/wk scanner.... and saves u a whole lot of money. Scoutpal.com has an app and also AmazBarCode is one worth looking into.
