lol blu-rays max data space was orignaly 200gb per layer but the funding back in 2003 was unable to provide and the project fell under and dropped as is leaving the project sony went with their ps2 and over the years began to recover their money and soon playastation 3 was thought up and they needed a new format (for more space and reliable) so blu-ray came back to a more affordable and became what we know to day as blu-ray (25gbs per layer)
where aer you getting your info from. the average of cd rom is 650-700 MB or 74-80 minutes. the max a cd rom can hold is 99 minute 870 megabyte but those are not easy to find.
