  • looool 1 minute to shut down way too slow im on a macbook pro 2011 it shuts down for 3 seconds and turns on for 30

  • Without tweaking, my hp mini with windows xp shuts down at 19 seconds.

  • Trust me, doing all this speeds up the pc for sure, the startup & the shutdown. This are the basics procedures to get a faster os, i´m not even talking about

unload dll's & other stuff like the manipulate the hardware to get a better performance.

Try it with a tweaked XP SP3 it should run like hell :D

(Sorry the 2 post i have exceded the 500 chars) :P

  • Well, windows 7 looks promising because it runs well in average computers.

I didn't make a deep "exploration" on 7, but doing the same as i do in other windows versions like defrag the HDD & the registry, clean up tmp files,

cache, restore points, disable hibernation, turn off unnecessary start programs and services, disable the Aero theme & put it as original windows theme.

  • oh shit, this is painfully slow

u sure its not vista? lol
