what sucks about this is that everytime you are about to be countered or get in trouble you just do some kinda roll/kick and the ref stops the fight its irritating cause the other guy could kick your ass on the ground unless its a ko
Grappling is effective and kyokushin isnt the complete martial art although it teaches not to rely on fighting on the ground, in other words a fight on the street should be over after one or two punches in the street if an attacker threaghtens an experienced stand up martial arts practitioner.eg kyokushin blackbelt. A good strong kyokushin fighter would be aware of his surroundings and not let a grappler even attempt a take down or attack in the street! Also type in youtube kyokushin in mma.
@GameFreakTV1 That makes sense but if you have watched the first few UFCs-where there were NO rules- grappling won. And he was what-170lbs? and was fighting guys over 200lbs who did various types of martial arts. All i'm saying is that is as real as a street fight as it got- and jiu jitsu won.
@f9hunter Stop crying, no form of martial arts is better than another. It can be argued in a fight with no rules, grappling is more effective because it is more sustainable. It can be just as easily argued that a kick to the head is going to put anybody out, and that anyone doing Kyokushin, Muay Thai or any striking art would find it easier to get the first shot.
And if I have jumped in out of line and somebody else began attacking you for your opinion, I do apologise.
@pastropmal You obviously are just hurt that grapplers can tear any joint of a striker with no grappling experience at anytime. Yeah i respect the toughness of guys that compete in kyokushin and muay thai but all i'm saying is you gotta learn the ground game.
