Continued..I couldn't sleep.I'd always slept well. I'm an RN and before this I was working fulltime and cycling 200 miles a wk! Always turbo charged with energy! I have been sent to every specialist. I thought I must have MS, Lupus or Luekemia or being dying from some kind of cancer! Who can be so sick and yet there's nothing wrong. It's over a year later now and I get rare "good days' where I get a taste of almost normal, but so weak, then I'm gone again & can't see any hope.I pray for help!!!
I got the flu Dec 24, 2009 and I'm still not well. At first I was severely short of breath and ached terribly in my lower body and couldn't lift my hand to answer the phone. When I could finally get up to the bathroom I just stood there confused looking at all the stuff trying to remember what I needed to do, oh brush my teeth and now what? 4 months later the heaviness left my upper body, but my legs remained like heavy tree trunks hard to lift and racked by endless pain, not relieved by meds!
@angelahallinan I've been dealing with it for about 2 years now. I find... getting into some kind of routine helps with the flare ups. I try to be moderately active physically during the day, to ensure I'll go to bed early. Avoid sugars, processed food, alcohol, coffee... easy to say, difficult to do. I'm lucky to not suffer very severe physical pain and am mostly just incredibly tired most of the time.
very interesting!!! what do you do for your symptoms? i suffer for chronic fatigue syndrome and i am very interested what other people do for their symptoms and cope.
I thought I was unlucky that this happened to me at 14 but that is just horrible that these poor children had this
