Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection

Note: This channel is only concerned with Part 1 of 'The Zeitgeist Movie' dealing with the origins of religious beliefs and traditions.

Here's a video clip of modern Egyptologist Dr. Bojana Mojsov admitting parallels between Osiris &/or Horus with Jesus. And, at 5:30 you'll see a stone carving of Isis as she hovers over Osiris in the form of a bird to receive the divine seed (notice there's no 'member') of Osiris. Mojsov then says, "It's a miraculous birth of the savior child."

"The Pyramid Texts speak of "the great virgin" (Hwn.t wr.t) three times (682c, 728a, 2002a..."

"In a text in the Abydos Temple of Seti I, Isis herself declares: "I am the great virgin"
- Christ in Egypt, page 152, * Pyramid Texts are 4,400 years old

"The Egyptian goddess who was equally 'the Great Virgin' (hwnt) and 'Mother of the God' was the object of the very same praise bestowed upon her successor [Mary, Virgin Mother of Jesus]."
- Dr. Witt, an Egyptologist, Christ in Egypt, 120

Again, you are pointing to your own reference. You cannot prove a theory by referencing yourself as a proof. Pointless to talk with you... :p

Actually, it's people like you doing the disservice by LYING about ZG1. Primary sources & scholar commentary on them support ZG1:

You only prove how little you've studied the subject with such false claims. Many scholars acknowledged ZG1 long ago as primary sources & scholar commentary on them support ZG1:

The main reason some part of ZG1 appear to be "a bit off the mark" is due to the fact that it was just a 25 minute private video never intended to be a scholarly documentary. It does check out after further reading.

I can agree with that. But by a bit off the mark, do you mean that over half of the statements about other deities are either a stretch of the truth or outright wrong? Because that's what I'm finding.

What does that have to do with misrepresenting history, or demeaning earlier religions, by making false statements about them, such as the crucifixion and resurrection of Horus, or the blanketed comparisons to completely different deities such as Odin and Thor? Some of us disagree with Christianity but also disagree with Zeitgeist because the video does a disservice by making misleading or false statements.

No historian will ever acknowledge anything in ZG's Jesus parallel. None.

Although some of the assertions in Zeigeist are a bit off the mark, the basic story of virgin birth (parthenogenesis), miracles, death, and resurection aspects are all well documented throughout history, well before Jesus. I've taken numerous graduate level classes that have all taught these basic attributes in the parallels to Christianity. Most scholars acknowledge them as well.

Your knowledge and understanding of ancient history seems quite limited, and your view over religion is very basic. You should google it yourself and check if your argumentation fit with ZG crazy claims.
