thanks allot Brian, I am bout to apply for Graduate Environmental Scientist & manager positions in Sydney Australia, you have really eased my nerves.. should I have a Haircut? my hair is below my collar... I have already shaved my much loved beard for the purpose of interviews.

@matsbugs1 - just keep it conservative and not otherwise noticeable. My first response would be to say yes, get your hair cut (since it is below your collar), but it depends on local custom there in Australia for the type of work you are doing. So make it consistent with the industry standards and you should be fine.
