He likes cap and trade? You mean the part of destroying the economy? Or the part of making our energy price skyrocket, making our prices skyrocket? Here a thought, domestic oil, then nuclear power, and yes please continue developing and growing green energy, and when it becomes reachable then and only then we will switch.

Cap and trade is nothing more than another way for big business to get their hands in our pockets and fill theirs. It will do nothing to help the environment and everything to help the profiteers. I bet Wall St. is just drooling ! It's truly sickening what is taking place.

Get off oil, this was started in 1973, and it still has not changed, what a joke. In the 90's cars were checked for emissions, this did no good and was a waste of money. Now cap and trade is the solution, LOL, less government not more. And let's fight real problems not alleged global warming.

And how do you propose we should accomplish this? Atleast something is being done instead of sitting around with our thumbs in our rear ends.

It will cost the Americans money, but it will reduce our energy consumption because some of us will become more efficient. It will also expand the green energy market and create more jobs in that sector. Hopefully one day we won't have to rely on fossil fuels which we are paying more for than a cap and trade system on CO2.

You CAN'T grow if you are limiting the net productivity of the country. It doesn't matter how many ways you cut the pie. It will still be the same pie and it will be smaller than the pie you had before.

This isn't difficult people it's just simple arithmetic.
