Hi, I was wondering, I've been making spoons and pipes and stuff out of wood...is it dangerous at all to harvest wood that you dont know if its toxic or not..is there a way to tell if it is?

the only way i know about is to read about toxic woods. to learn to recognize them.

Thats pretty cool! I could see some uses for that trick here in the desert. You could easily make a tube for coal burning containers, or even a drinking tube to get water out of cracks in rocks or puddles. Seeing how there is so little water here lol. Definitely going to try that one!

My first thought was to whittle down the other stick as an easy means for making a stem for a pipe. But the second more important thought was carve the hole a little more and use it as a nozzle for a small bellows. beats becoming winded and dizzy.
