Portal on Wine on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
This was run with the default video settings, rather than setting them to a minimum. It was interesting to note that it ran as smooth as when low settings are in place, but froze up briefly every few minutes or so. The freeze time was no more than about half a second, so for this game, it seems a small price to pay in order to avoid having to dual boot.

thanks. i've got an nVidia 8800 GTS. even with that kind of card, my proc still shows 2 out of the 4 cpu's maxed out @ 100%. this makes me think that the graphics card isn't being fully used. just my 2c.
