MTSU's Centennial Celebration brought a record crowd of 30,502 to Floyd Stadium for the Blue Raiders' 2011 home opener against Georgia Tech. Halftime festivities included the presentation of perhaps the largest cake the state of Tennessee has ever seen, presented by MTSU alumnus Jay Qualls, and a rendition of "Happy Birthday" sung by the record crowd, assisted by the MTSU Band of Blue.
