After the speeches given by the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Leader of the Opposition Brendan Nelson, they pay their respects to several Aboriginal Australians, and present the Speaker of the House with a gift on behalf of representatives of the stolen generation.

  • Yes the stolen generation what a pity. I heard a story from an aboriginal lady who told her story about being taken away from her mother at a young age. She was looked after and brought up by a white family. She ended up as a head matron in a queensland hospital . Just think what a terrible life she has endured.
