This song is not just a song. This song is the soul of Indian music of 60s. Urdu Poetry, Shammiji, the eternal romantic hero, great soulful music and voice of Rafi, beautiful actress in a saree. Amazing! :)

The tragedy of our time is that we have lost the great Urdu poetry, we have lost gem of an actors like Shammi Kapoor, we have lost clean hearted singers like Rafi who sang from their heart. The only hope I see in today's actors is in Ranbir Kapoor, who was close to his uncle Shammi, and I hope Ranbir would keep alive his uncle's legacy. Thats why I'm going to see the first show of the film Rockstar, it is the last film of our great Shammiji.

@errolmiranda Look I don't find Asha as an actress too..but as a senior actress, we should respect her. She has worked with great filmmakers and actors. She has entertained us well. She is part of the generation which made Bollywood what is it today.

Just love this song ..will always miss you Shammi ji.

Rest in Peace.
Unarguably one of the best songs that RD's composed. No one but Rafi ji could have sung this with so much feeling!! Excellent acting by Shammi Ji. Apparently this song was Shammi Kapoor's 1st shoot after his wife, Geeta Bali passed away.
