I hope not only he can compete on 2012 as he would do. But also that more people with disabilities that might thier performances are world class have their chances. That means we are equal by all meanings!!!
And like it or not, you will find out that will be the highlight on the games...
Ok jsawon. Your point has no point as you said small muscles..means He has them!!! Oscar has NO LEGS, NO MUSCLES AND HAVE TO TRAIN AND TRAIN TO GET WHERE HE ACOMPLISH. The solely fact of having protesis, not artificial leg, he had to first get used to them, does not matter at what age. Compensate the absense of feeling the floor, dominate them and master them. Sorry guy you only shows a totally misunderstanding on human overcomes disability and particulary discrimination from people like you.
@MrSentinelpr "Equal" would mean nobody has an advantage through artificial means. I suppose you would advocate that someone with small muscles should be allowed to take steroids to compensate for their physical disadvantage?
Well jsawon with the mentality of people like you there is no hope to have a better world with equal oportunities for every one. Really your comments are completely fobics about havien a person without limbs and having equal chance to compete. Let me tell you that he has no avantage he need to master the protesis an have to do the same or more extensive trainning. This no Nuclear man..don't be so stupid!!!!!!!!!!! I could not helped you are a really discriminating person.
It is completely ridiculous that they let this guy compete. None of the other athletes have springs on their feet. If he wants to race against them he should do so WITHOUT artificial legs, i.e., just on his stumps. I hope they ban him before the 2012 Olympics.
We should ALL be celebrating Oscar, he has been a long time in the making, we should be breaking down the walls that make this man either disadvantaged or with an advantage - for he can't be both.

Let me correct that: I hope they ban his artificial legs before the 2012 Olympics. As I said, he should be free to enter on his stumps.
