I'm a jerk

A friend helped me realize I was being a bit inconsiderate, so to cleanse myself of this guilt I sent a gift box to our friend to lift his spirits.

I actually went shopping for everything, the pantry just scares me. It was like a scavenger hunt in the supermarket, I had fun with it. I thought for sure the girl at the checkout would notice the theme. She was oblivious.

*laughs* ok, so I thought when I saw the video "OMG NO YOU AREN'T" then.. I watched the video and thought... ok, maybe a lil but its funny! Funny isn't always nice ;)

Hey you! I am allowed to be a jerk every once in a while. ;) I'm just lucky to have friends that help put me in my place from time to time. Have you ever seen corn or wheat grown in a circle like that before?

I have NEVER seen that before. When you said crop circles and showed it... I actually stopped the video to take a 2nd look.

Did your friend ever say "why" they grow them like that? Is there a yield issue? space issue? creativity release?

Actually, its a water issue. I think its called center pivot irrigation. The irrigation sprinklers rotate around the pivot above ground on a long arm.. They can't get water to the corners so everything is grown in a circle.

It's the strangest thing to see, especially for the first time.

so... why don't they make long bars that just go back and forth and grow it in squares?

And.... then the thought crosses my mind, why not get more creative and do more fun shapes like spirals, stars, and trapezoids?
