New Horizons Mission to Pluto

In honor of the former planet, here is the NASA launch video of the New Horizons mission to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt.

Anything with sufficient mass to create a gravity well large enough to pull itself into a coherently shaped sphere should be considered a planetoid. Nuff said.

I heard that a Kuiper Belt object was discovered that is bigger than Pluto yet it turns out to be distinctly non-spherical. No one should be surprised, because the pherical definition was just dreamed up to included Pluto. Sure enough, the universe is more complicated than we imagined.

@JohnGizis Eris? Indeed it was a little bigger than Pluto. It was largely responsible for the IAU deciding to demote Pluto to a dwarf planet.
