Lamkin Automotive demonstrates the safer alternative to remove the bushing from a 12-bolt Chevy differential housing (while still underneath a 1970 SS 454 Chevelle). Using a 5/16 bit, drill between the rubber and the metal shell. The drill will bite into the steel and pull itself around the bushing and extract the rubber core. Then, simply collapse the shell and the housing is ready for a replacement bushing. 3-31-2010
