@MarvellousMuffin .Exactly!
Get shot of England, then vote for our own type of Government instead of getting the party that England votes for!

@tcpgblizzard , partly true, but if they can legally get married, have sex, have kids, work, pay taxes, etc, then why not. Westminster were putting legislation in place for next election, setting the vote at 16 anyway, they have just hidden it because Scottish government are planning to allow it.
I think SNP think they will benefit from this, which can only be good for Scotland.
I suspect you are a Uniomist, if you are Scots, what are you worried about?

I think if Scotland would be independent it would become the most loved country in Europe. As Scots are respected all over Europe, far more than the English.

@chancergordy Scotland now has 59 MPs, the Lib-Dems may be extinct next election. SNP never vote on English only matters.
So,,Imagine, yet again, Scotland votes 40 'sit on their hands' Labour MPs. [19 snp]England and Wales vote 275 Labour and 300 Tory
So Scotland is Labour, England and Wales is Tory,
Labour are the majority, Ed' Milliband is Prime Minister but can't run England without the Scots Labour MPs to give him his Majority.
You tell me what will happen? This is very likely!.

@venuism , I agree with you BUT In 1987, Britain voted for a Tory government, Scotland as usual, voted Labour 'again'. [the feeble 50]
Thatchers Tory poll tax was rejected by Scots MPs in 1988, there were only 10 Scots tory MPs against 62 opposition mps, everyone of the 62 Scots MPs voted against it!
So the Question is,,,,, How did the Poll tax for Scotland make it through parliament in 1988?
It went through parliament no problem. There are other problems which can arise too, see next comment

@chancergordy it is simple really, how is it fair that Scottish MP's can vote on things that only apply to England, but not vice versa? Granted sometimes their vote doesn't make a difference, but sometimes it does. It is just rotten, and needs to be addressed, before it leads to more resentment.

The SNP are all for the EU, but that doesn't mean we have to be all for the SNP. It is quite possible to vote the SNP out of parliament right after independence.

@MarvellousMuffin What bad times? The UK has been a resounding success for both parties. Only when the 2 countries stopped fighting each other and worked together did both become extremely prosperous.
However my point is that a huge decision like this should not be decided on the whim of a propaganda fuelled one off referendum.
There should be constitutional channels for things like this to avoid the current rat race that's occuring. Hopefully that will be brought in after the referendum.
I'm 15 years of age, And I understand politics to more than a decent degree. But, Let's be honest. If 16 year old's and older could vote. It wouldn't make a massive difference. Because the majority of Adults in this country have not a clue anyway. so, why not let us vote? We can join the Army at 16. We can go to college and leave school at 16. We can get married and have CHILDREN at 16. Why on earth shouldn't we be allowed to vote?
