i used to have screen tearing but not anymore.we had an extra computer but we had to put internet on it for it to work and i'm using that computer right now

that isn't screen tearing. screen tearing is when your card is rendering at more fps than your refresh rate and it is usually a horizontal line across the screen. this is artifacts, usually caused by overheating hardware.

i had to replace the video card in that laptop. fortunately that model Dell has interchangeable video cards, so i just bought a replacement and popped it in. it's been working fine ever since.
