haha, I know, I usually use geometry aa unless reflections are involved, but this particular project had a lot of hair thin geometry and i had to use 4x4 to get it to look right :)

Or melt it would be fun, or squash it under you foot and leave footprint fingerprints, or spray glitter on it or cut a halloween mask out of the side and put a candle inside it or chew on a corner, spit out the pieces or screw a screw into it, or better still, have a 'robbie'. Nice render, what does it do next?

Btw. do you know if the RealFlow plugin for rhino will be updated/developed, or is just a one time test?

Hey dude, I know you said not more than 5 min a frame rendering. but what CPU are you running?
ChrisCDXX 2 years ago
@ChrisCDXX, standard Acer Laptop, nothing too up-scale.

hmm, crazy, any time I render something with SSS and GI on it starts really killing my cpu, especially with AA at like 4x4 or something
ChrisCDXX 2 years ago
Well for heavens sake don't use 4x4. That's insane, especially for animations. 0x2 is good for animations, you might even get away with 0x1 in some cases.

render time per frame?

I honestly don't recall, though I doubt it was anything less than 5 minutes per frame. Proper SSS always takes a long time...
