http://flytecase.be - This is a demonstration of how I used the Elysia Alpha compressor plugin to master my band's song 'You could be mine'. What I really love about the Alpha is how transparent it sounds, you get all the glueing goodness of a great compressor, without the negative artifacts.

Having independent mid/side channels also opens the stereo image much better.

  • You can switch between them. In stereo mode the two compressor channels map to left and right, in M/S mode they map to mid and side. I like setting the basic compressor behavior up in stereo mode and switch to M/S mode to fine-tune the imagining of the audio. It preserves the settings for stereo mode as a starting point.
