When viewing these pictures it is incredible to think we did this walk on the 18th of October. It was a fantastic day with superb weather and the best of company. I will remember this walk as one of my all time favourites for many reasons and when viewing the photographs you will see how much Deke, Jez, Spud and I enjoyed our day walking to the highest point in England. Backing music tracks are Find the Sun by Mostly Autumn, Black Mountain Side by Led Zeppelin and Long Walk Home by Bruce Springsteen. Enjoy and if you want to read my report of the walk visit www.walkingenglishman.com Thank you.

  • Excellent photos! Brings back memories of when we climbed Scafell in 2005.

  • I've never really been 2 the LD, I have flown over it, I might climb Scafell Pike if it's good weather and not 2 busy, I prefer going on tranquil walks, but looks good

  • thanks for getting back to me so fast! yeah.. ha ha up the owls!! :) im really looking forward to it now, we go in 4 weeks, we are doing the 3 peaks scafell..snowdon and ben nevis but there will be a few weeks between each venture.. thanks for the tips.. and ill definately be taking a camera! thanks again, shawy :)

  • Hi Shawy, Can't believe you're an OWL too? Brill - anyway on the walk just make sure you takes plenty of drinks with you, I prefer the touch of fruit water ones, best for dealing with dehydration - also some walking food of course to recharge batteries when required. Oh, and a camera is most essential to capture your day. eather forecast appears good but I would take lightweight mac and trews. The other thing to take with you is enjoyment, there is plenty to be had. Have a great walk.

  • hi,iv just read your comment on scafell pike, and see that you have done the walk up it, me and some friends plan to do this a week on saturday, any tips or advice i need to know? cos as it snds we just gnna go there and do it. anything special i should take with me? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanx

  • This walk took us about 7 hours - we didn't rush it but I'd plan for 6 hours.

  • Can you remember how long it took you to complete, i'm doing the same walk for charity, with Helvellyn thrown in as well.

  • Happy Memories - sniff!

    Jez
