It's a (get this) top down, space shooter. Just as unique and uninspired as nearly every other top down, space shooter out there. If it moves and it looks weird, shoot it. Dodge what it throws back. However, the programmers were very inspired. Stage one took eight and a half minutes to auto scroll through.
Reason why it's called "Slap Fight"; still a mystery.

It's probably a good thing you didn't play this. It's much like a raiden shooter, one hit kills, way more dodging then gunsmoke.

The game is so amazing that you had to play it over and over several times, even yet again in a different language... the ONLY downside of this wonderful game (based on the black screen series in Japan) is that its terribly short.

It's also one of the non-Gradius uses of the "power-bar" setup.
At least in Europe, we got an awesome name for it - Alcon.

I sold it for 150 Euro on ebay because it was way to hard, i loved the music from the game but only with 60hz mega drive.
