Dividing the restaurant bill will never cause arguments again, with Matt's "Meal Units".

Matt Parker has devised a set of calculations that he hopes will ease some of the dilemmas of modern life, and save people money into the bargain.

The TDA is using the films to encourage more of the right kinds of people to consider teaching maths.

  • @supervernagirl Damn you. Damn you.

  • Im still confused :(

  • Just split it evenly, are you honestly going to bring along paper, pen and calculater to a restaurant and set up equations?

If there is 10 people there, and 9 order a drink of £1, and one orders a drink of £2. That is a total of £1.1 per person, so is it worth the time and effort going, oh no you had 1.313456 of a drink, but then again i had 2.4553 of a salad?

And what numbers will you decide for everything? instead of going through the bill numbering everything just pay for what you ate

  • Good grief I did not understand a word

  • with wilhelm scream... :)
