Thank you harry! I would like single payer now plz! Walter W. Skain IV

The idea is to get there, so you'll get what you want soon enough.
But single payer is not a good idea, it doesn't work.
That's why even those coutnries that are suggested to have the best health care in the world with UHC have some sort of payment system. Switzerland definetly has the best health care in Europe, and guess what, they have a market probably more free than that of the US.

Yes. it's about people. So let's have the most efficient system for it. Bring with real reform, not just more government control.
Maybe, just maybe, will they be able to exchange the problem of price for a problem of rationing, more likely is that progress will stop completely.
More government is not reform, more government is going back to the middle ages.

This not at all meant to be argumentative. Who do conservatives consider a "True Conservative"? Based on record it certainly can't Sarah Palin as Mayor or Governor, or T-Paw, Huck, Sanford, Jindal, Ensign, Barber or Cantor As I'm sure you know conservatives recently issued a 10-point check list gauging adherence to core principles that the RNC is considering. Reagans record failed the test, Palin failed.. they all did. Who is a "True Conservative " in these peoples minds?
-
I dont think the Republicans consider themselves conservatives any longer. For example, Colin Powell's support for Obama last year. The party is split between true conservatives and the religious right (i am not going to use the term "Christian", cause they are far from it.

Conservatives are a useful as a used Kleenex.

I agree with Reid in principal, but if he really meant what he said, he would have allowed the Dorgan amendment go up for a vote early.
By the way, he also ordered Sanders to withdraw his.
harry reid has done a heroic job. blame the republicans and blue dems for the shitty bill, but show him the respect he deserves for continuing the fight for what we need and want.

"Here are all the letters from our constituents asking for single payer or a public option - but we're going to give them crappy mandated private insurance instead, and pretend that was what they wanted!"
