Although the bayonet fighting is too rare nowadays, it's still actual, coz soldier may be attacked by enemy (saboteur) from the ambush and have no time, no distance to shoot, on the other side if ammo is out but the fight goes on... It may also be useful for self defence in common life, how using at hand stick, to repel the aggression.

  • It's interesting the stuff people don't know about some militaries and what they use for melee combat. The Canadians and British still train with bayonettes and the Rangers even train with hatchets.

  • Look up "british bayonet training" on youtube and as for the rest of it, my roomate is a light infantry soldier in Alberta with the PP3CLI (Princess Patricia's 3rd Canadian Light Infantry) and our soldiers cross train with American soldiers and American soldiers cross train up here as well with our troops.

  • Really...where do you find out that info?
