Modeled after the Pantheon in Rome and situated in commanding fashion at the edge of the Tidal Basin, the Jefferson Memorial is one of my favourite iconic images of Washington DC.

@redfox409 the bigger question is why does the back of the penny look like the pantheon in paris and why that looks like some silly thing in greece...we will never know...
