Recently Matthew has been taking piano lessons.

January was month four of his lessons so he's not that far along yet. His teacher is really great and is really working with the students on not only playing but presentation as well. I love it when he forgets to bow at the end.

Obviously he's not Bach, Victor Borge', or Billy Joel yet but he's working on it.

This was his first piano recital and I know I'm biased but I think he did really well.

He played three pieces as a duet with his teacher. The three pieces are:

Water Lilly by Phillip Keveren

Walking the Dog by Fred Kern

Quiet Night by Bill Boyd

He's currently learning out of the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library Book 1.

So far he has really be enjoying it. We're pretty much letting him pace himself and take his time so he had fun with it and develops a love of playing.

Enjoy the music and thanks for watching.
