I'm so poor in chemistry... Can anybody help me?
-
Yes plz salman Khan, come to my house and teach me stuff
-
@dirtypritithings Same thing, some people write them in different ways.
-
"If I were to come over to your place and say, "name this molecule", the first thing you would do is say; What the f**k is Salman Khan doing at my house?"
-
Excellent video! But being a German speaker, I can't help but correct your pronunciation. "entgegen" is pronounced ent-GAY-gehn and is probably better translated as "against." "zusammen" is pronounced tsoo-SAH-mehn.
-
why is it not 2-butene
-
as I have learned you have to use E/Z configuration when there are 3 or 4 substituents bonded to the carbon with double bond??
-
I believe the E and Z naming convention is only used when there 3 or 4 substituents on the two double doubled carbons. If there are only one or two, then you would name the molecule cis or trans.
E - Epposite
Z - Zame Zide

"entgegen" maybe is better translated as "in opposition to". And right - "together" is written "zusammen" in german.. Keep on going.
