Because Holland is flat, relatively small - so distances aren't too big - and densely populated, it could be the ideal frontrunner in electric mobility. The Dutch national government and several regional governments, such as the city of Amsterdam, have ambitious plans to make this happen. In Amsterdam, you can charge your electric car for free the coming years, a little favour by the city for the early adaptors.
