After lugging around a MBP 15'' and then later a Vaio 16'', both for video editing, I decided to search for a smaller, lighter laptop. This ThinkPad is an amazing machine, it can handle the more intensive tasks (Premiere, After Effects, Edius, video encoding) but is also doubles as a pretty cool reader (I love comics and for anybody who does, awesome application: ComicRack, check it at http://comicrack.cyolito.com/), has a digitizer pen for note taking and drawing and 3G incorporated! It's note the most powerful laptop out there but is one of the most interesting compromises between portability and power.

  • Thak you very much for your video. I'm planning to get one od those, to update from my HP tx2. It's been hard to me finding such a helpful video like yours, in terms of every day use. I also had a MBP 15'' High Res, beautiful machine but I sold it. How is the x220 screen compared to the MBP screen? Whitch one do ou like better? And, if it's not much to ask, what are the x220 tech specificaction?

    Great video!

  • @julianchoyt Hi! Well, here in Portugal I only have i5/7200 rpm hard drive/intel graphics configurations available - still it handles video pretty well. So of course, the i7/SSDs configs would probably turn this thing into a beast. About the screen: I like this screen very much, prefer it to the MBP, although the MBP has more vibrant colors, this one has less reflections and is less agressive on the eyes.

  • What camera are you using? And what lens?

  • Hello :) I was wondering how the touchscreen sensitivity and accuracy was. I heard it might be a bit unaccurate at the edges, what do you say about this?

I enjoyed your video very much, thank you! :)

  • Sory, my english is very rough..

  • And what about the graininess? My HP tx2 tablet sceen has a very grainy effect. Thas the x220t multitouch present any gnaininess on it? I wish it's like the MBP, witch has no grainy effect at all..

    Thanks!
