Motivational speaker David Roche talks about inspiring others, overcoming physical disabilities, and learning to accept one's self.

David Roche talks about The Church of 80% Sincerity.
A motivational speaker and humorist, Roche shares his journey from shame to self-acceptance. Born with a severe facial deformity, Roche's life has been anything but easy. But over time, he's learned to see that often our gifts and our flaws are one and the same. Anne Lamott says, "he built a church inside of himself. There is no physical church, but his own life" - Book Passage
David Roche is an inspirational humorist, motivational speaker and performer who has transformed the challenges and gifts of living with a facial disfigurement into a compelling message that uplifts and delights audiences around the world. Now, with the publication of his first book, The Church of 80% Sincerity, in February 2008, he is also an author.
You know its a fact that people who say derogative comments about others, are actually trying to hide their own perfections or guilt trips. So velevetrevolver94 what are you hiding from that is SO ugly that you feel the need to insult others.

thats so mean. he is so sweet and has so much courage to come and speak all over the world, you shouldn't be saying that about him. him and his wife came and spoke at my school, i'm sure if you met him and listened to him you would never say that, it's really mean.

He's so funny! That's the most effective type of motivational speaking I think, a mix of encouraging, empowering dialog and humour. Such things are elusive in this day and age. Everyone needs a good laugh once in a while.

I had the chance to attend David Roche's "The Church of 80% Sincerity" and to talk to him at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver last year, and he struck me as a generous, generous man. I learnt a lot from this show and I was inspired by his courage, humour, honesty, and love for everybody. David does a work of love and it feels great to know there are such positive people on this little planet. THANK YOU DAVID and continue the good work :D!
