I know that many musicians would have a Hammond B-3 with a Leslie speaker, but sadly some would consider an old Hammond M-3 than a T-series Hammond. But why an old Baldwin with vacuum tube tone generator?

Hej Mattias,
Thanks for that. The 103 is a lovely mic.
Yes, I did record some of the parlour music, wayback. I think I still have two lots - some on CrO2 tape (recorded on Tascam Porta One!) and some on DAT. It's great you added a video of the SK-5 - I used a Casio CZ-1000 through a Boss RSD-10 on some of the 4-track recordings.
You're right about the new stuff, I loved it! The Chamberlin in particular. But wow... that pipe organ is fantastic!
Thanks for your reply.
Best wishes,
Kerrin

Hi kerrin,
The 103 has made everything a lot simpler in the studio...You just point in the general direction and just go. I used to record mostly using some Rode microphones but I always had to work with the sound a lot afterwards to make it cut through. The 103 is just simple and good.
BTW have you ever experimented using a loop tape in a four track ? I have never done it but I gues one could do some cheapo frippertronics that way....

I was wondering, how do you record the Orga-sonic? Do you mic it, in which case could you elaborate, or does it have a direct output?
Increasingly I'm loving what you're doing there. I used to find and record Victorian parlour music, from old manuscripts. Most of it was in 3/4 and quite un-nerving for those who listened!
Do you like Jacques Tati? 8^)

Hey hey...
It has a line out I think but I just put the Neumann 103 in its general direction. BTW did you record any of the parlour music ?
If you liked this film I think you will enjoy the new stuff posted today...
Gotta run, more recordings to do.
Best regards,
Mattias
