As a young boy, I remember sitting in church on hot summer nights, no air conditioning, and listenting to the congregation sing thier hearts out. No professional singers, just young and old alike singing the old hymns of praise to our Lord. Old Country Church begins with vintage film clips from inside the old flour mill as the congregation arrives by horse and buggy on a muggy summer evening in the middle of the golden Garfield County wheat fields. A homemade apple is pie cooling in the window, and the clothes line flapping happily in the breeze will take you back to those lazy, hazy days of yesteryear when life was simple and family was all that mattered. Old Country Church is filled with brightly colored falling leaves, snow covered bales of hay laying in the pasture, faded old red barns and brilliant green rolling fields of wheat starting to sprout as springtime finally arrives.
Favorite hymns like Near The Cross, Rock Of Ages, What A Friend We Have In Jesus, Wonderful Peace, In The Garden, Old Country Church and My Saviour's Love will inspire, refresh, and revive your spirit. You may just want to sing along!
