@bibbybobbiful I was just about to state the same thing. manmade salmon "steps" rarely get to be more than 3 ft above the lower surface line. Whoever filmed this is an idiot...either they were oblivious to the fact that none were making it OR she merely never taped any landing high enough to get past the fallwater. Either way - idiot.
This is actually a pretty good example of how dams totally block salmon from getting upstream. It's sad to think about the number of fish that weren't able to swim past these huge fall zones and get to egg laying habitat further upstream.
