In The Passing of a Moment

I wrote this song many years ago after I had left South Africa to play folk music in the UK. I had a lot of time to think about what had happened in SA, what was happening in the world in general and where we all fit into the huge scheme of things and this song was the result of that thought process. Even nowadays, when my mind is not occupied with the joys and challenges of parenthood, I might hear or read something in the news and feel that death and destruction are the real heroes and life and all things good are just taken for granted and the choices we are given, no matter which ones we choose to take, only make us whores to one cause or another.....what a warped mind I have!!
