  • WW "fronted' for the band Lobo in Valdosta; WW slew the audience, then Lowblow came on and did a song. On the second song people started throwing pennies and booing. Lobo stopped in mid-song and did their one hit, "Me and You and a Dog That Blew". The audience applauded afterwards; they unplugged their little amps and left. WW graciously came back and kicked ass for another hour or two. Afterwards I went out back, to WW's bus and got toasted with them. Man, these guys were great.

Wow! Now that's a great rock n roll story my friend! Thanks for sharing!

  • werent they from kansas?

  • No, They were a Tampa based band.

  • I saw White Witch and Hydra around 1972 in Asheville North Carolina. Class of 2000 brings back fond memories of my teenage years. Both White Witch albums's can be ordered on CD.

  • Wow! I have a poster from that show! I wasn't at the show but the poster was on eBay. : )

    Cheers!

  • Man...I was there!!! when I was 13!!! I was just going to write about it when I saw your comment. Remember the effects...the spiral hypnotizing thing and the lighted symbols. I saw them with Grand Funk at the Bayfront center later on. I bought their album and wore it out, and sold it at a garage sale. Many years later I saw the album at someone else's garage sale...it was the same one with the exact incense burn on the cover...Good times...

  • WHITE WITCH is not in today's credit card-scan jukeboxes.

  • I was 14 living in Florida, smoking cheap Mexican weed out of a cheap acrylic bong. Listened to this endlessly. Class of 2000 seemed so far away then! Lmfao! Everybody replying here must be oooooold!

  • Saw them in concert back in the early 70's. Most amazing thing I had seen up till then. Good old school rock band.

  • I was too young to go but remember riding w/ my dad by T E Flanagans in Charlotte NC and seeing White Witch on the billboard outside. My older cousin had their albums so I had listened and knew who they were. Must've been early to mid 70's

  • @kleankutken saw them in north , South Carolina a nightclub called the alamo was a major hangout in my teens . saw blackfoot there also .

  • @kllrjo

    I was there.

  • @jimischild13

Where did you see them...Tampa or maybe Wauchula...anyone here remember the Wauchula show.

  • @dru72499

Rush seemed to glean some influence from them also.

  • @MrPotpimp

    Damn straight.

  • Great Rock & Roll story! Early 70;'s White Witch, Panama city Beach Florida. The Tombstone Territories. Bikers, Jello, Big tittied women. What more can I say.
