  • how big is the terrain table going to be?

  • The table is 8 feet by 4 feet with about 2 feet of depth from the base to the tallest mountain

  • I follow you. I like the iceberg idea in the middle of the pond(?)/opening. I also like the duel mountain idea, because it really gives itself to a lot more interesting scenarios. Definitely have some crystals coming down from the bottom of the boulder on top. Also for the Ice Bridge you might want to look at BTP vid on using plexiglass as ice shards. But you could use a full sheet to simulate the areas that are completely iced over. You would have to paint it separately though.

  • Are you trying to say scatter some plexiglass on the board to add the ice effect? Im sorta following but Im not getting the details....I am also unsure how it would look If most of the board is going to be painted to resemble snow and ice. Something I need to look into

  • I think when tonypony mentioned "transport" he meant the actual transportation of the board itself and not transports in game.

  • im thinking of doing something like that but on a bigger size and gonna be kinda guard themed so ruined down trenches. you gave me a few ideas

    thanks

  • Well just on the ice bridge. It was something pretty interesting I saw on Blue Table Painting vids. I think it helps achieve that jagged look, with a reflection to it. In the vid he didn't paint them he just broke it apart and demonstrated some uses for it.

  • not sure if it possible but ice cracks running over the board would look really cool. not terrain more of a looks thing. kinda like the cracking that happens in "Ice age" when the squirrel tried to get the nut in the opening of the movie.

  • Those are going to be some intense choke points. and seeing as you are carving into the board to make things, that would be amazing if you added some deserted trenches carved in to the board all snowed out like if there had been some previous fights there

  • you should look up google sketchup

its a free 3d drawing program from google and you can basically draw up your whole entire board on it. It's really helpful because it gives you a 3d visual on exactly what you want.
