Featured on Tori's cover album, Strange Little Girls.

--sentences.

Sisters, maybe twins, possibly cousins. We won't know unless we see their birth certificates, the real ones, not the ones they use to get ID.

This is what they do for a living. They walk in, take what they need, walk out again.

It's not glamorous. It's just business. It may not always be strictly legal.
It's just business.

They are too smart for this, and too tired.

They share clothes, wigs, make-up, cigarettes. Restless and hunting, they move on.
Two minds. One heart.

Sometimes they even finish each other's --

  • Worst song ever.

  • @Snizzzzz Yeah, let's throw around the word "rape" on a Tori Amos video like it means nothing.....(asshole)

  • @usernametaken443 when I first heard this, I did not get it, and then a few years later I listened to it again, and now I think it is such an amazing response to the sentiments in the original song - yeah, you'll keep plodding along on your road until you find a "perfect" woman, yeah you keep looking buddy, wow you have nooooo idea ...........

  • Gee whiz, this is an insult towards anything Neil Young did in his career. It is also an insult towards the mighty Stooges. So it is an insult towards good music.

  • I agree that this cover is too monotonous...it has such potential though, i wish it did something else, like so many of her great songs do. It reminds of Raspberry Swirl, which I feel the same way about. I was excited when first, and then, it is just the same for 4 minutes. Her other Neil Young covers are better. But, it doesn't suck.

  • This was probably my favorite of the whole lot of covers from Strange Little Girls. Perhaps it was because it was so different from it's original, I don't know. I do adore the original, but this new take was a bold take on such a great song. I am just glad I got to see it performed live in Orlando on the American Doll Posse tour, it isn't played live often by Tori, but it was awesome none the less.

  • i love it i love that it is totalt diffrnt from Youngs Yetit is diffrnt from tori as if stylisticly infused with neil raunch, brilliant tribute to the man without coppying his song

  • I love how she goes crazy towards the end. To say that it's not Neil Young is to miss the point, I think, since she re-positioned the songs to come from a female perspective (whatever that may be here) hence all the different photos, styles and quotes. They're stories she's imagining for each song that wasn't exactly there before. Thinking of the photo, the quote and the look of the character in regards to the song is the best way to try to decipher her goal with each one.

  • Yeah lets rape a legendary song...

  • hah these covers are funny to me, because its bacicly like she just used the lyrics from that song but wrote original music for it. its hardly a cover aside from that
