@limyangyang Bet you never heard of songs by "黑名單工作室" in 1989 before LA Boyz (or not so long)... That's the real first "RAP" in Chinese/Minnan language...
however I don't think LA Boyz' really that hip hop though they just "speak in bullet speed" that's all...

Taiwanese language songs had revive and really rocks nowadays. Many new & younger singers sung in Minnan language too. In fact the first "RAP (hip-hop)" song in Chinese was sung in Taiwanese Language by a group called LA Boyz and Machi who was based in US during the early 1990's; b4 even Cantonese and Mandarin. Due to the Taiwanese rapping" popularity & success, Cantonese and later Mandarin rap song enter the market after the Taiwanese. Go read in Wikipedia for more information. TQ.
