That hyena shouldn't laugh at him like that. It is real and it is spectatular.

  • They have their own family, Hyaenidae.

They're closely related to civets and mongooses, all of which fall under the suborder of Feliformia, cat-like carnivores.

  • I went to this place last weekend. Holy crap it was awesome.

  • yeah search hyenas r beutyfull so is kevin on youtube he gots hyena pets and he chills with em all day in there cage

  • Yes, that's a possibility and with those powerful jaws that's a scary thought!

  • ya, but like all animals with pack mentality, they will challenge you. And, will probably win :P

  • They can indeed become quite tame and very loving with a human handler. However... these are still *wild animals*. They can never be considered to be entirely reliable. They are to be honored and respected--in the wild or in an appropriate conservation environment.

As you can tell from my name... I love hyenas! To me, they are beautiful, powerful and compelling.

  • no if they were they probably wouldn't be rules by females, dogs are rules by males
