Peggy was surrendered to us by her previous owner because they were no longer able to care for her. She is a sweet dog who gets along fine with with other dogs, but is uncomfortable with large numbers of dogs. When that happens, Peggy does her best to get out of that place. Since her arrival here, Peggy has shown that she can climb chain link fences and undo latches to get away from the dogs in our adoption area. She really prefers to be an only dog.
Poor Peggy is insecure in her new "home" at APRA and will be fine when she settles into her new forever home.
What my foster mom says about me:
11/25/11: Peggy has that look in her eye like she knows her new family is just about to walk through the door and take her home. When you meet Peggy just sit next to her and watch what happens. She has never met a stranger and is the happiest when she is curled up on a lap or between two laps! She is a delightful little girl who would do just about anything to be near her humans -- apparently even climb a 4' fence to get to one!
She enjoys quiet alone play time, walks on the Silver Comet Trail but mostly she wants to curl up with her new family. She enjoys being around people who will hug and kiss her, other dogs who will lay next to her, cats who won't chase her and children who will play with her.
