@fullcontactF13 yeh its better to skim on beaches with steeper slopes cause u can get more speed to get out to waves. Also the waves generally break closer to shore but it also depends on the board because wood does not float well but fibreglass or carbon boards have more buoyancy and u might want to learn how to run drop slide and get on in 1 step like they do in this video so u can catch waves because u have to get good timing to get on a wave. so the quicker u get on the board the better

ive been skimmin for a few days and i can do like basic tricks like 360 and shuvits but how are these guys nailing those waves is it better skim on like a flatter beach or a more slanted one how are they getting that speed its incredible
